LED display is a flat panel display that uses an array of light emitting diodes (LED) as the light source. This is in contrast to LCD display, which uses less efficient cold cathode fluorescent lamps as the backlighting. Due to the efficiency of LED, it is much more popular today in regular flat screen TV’s and video walls alike.

The name LED is an abbreviation for Light Emitting Diode. LED screens, or large screens, are made of so-called light emitting diodes. LED screens used to be manufactured with three small LED of different colors ( Red, Green, and Blue ) all gathered to create what we call a Pixel. It is the combination of those 3 colors that allow technology to create millions of colors and detail. Nowadays, technology has advanced and we can now use one SMD (surface-mount device) that combines the 3 colors itself and replaces the 3 lights. This SMD is more precise and allows a better quality image, even from a close distance.
The resolution is nothing else but the number of pixels present on each square meter.

What is PIXEL PITCH?
The pixel pitch is center to center distance of adjacent pixels measured in millimeters. In a plan term, pixel pitch shows the gap between the pixels of LED display. The smaller pixel pitch means there is smaller empty space between the pixels and there are more number of pixel, results in higher resolution and higher image quality.

LED Viewing Distance
The most important factor of LED signage is viewing distance. If your sign will be viewed from long distance by people in the car driving fast then you need a big character size to make it readable. As a rule of tomb you need at least 2 inch of character height for each 100ft of viewing distance to make it readable. For full-colour sign with image and video support you may need bigger size to make better impact on viewer.
Remote Access
This communication method is best for controlling outdoor or mobile electronic signs from far distance. For this type of communication, we use specific control cards with data SIM Card option. Similar internet communication method, controlling software communicates with the LED sign or LED display through internet connection. In the back-side, Content Management Software send the new design or settings to a could sever by using any type of internet connection.
