Join us for an extraordinary adventure as we explore the fascinating world of biofluorescence at Dunollie Wood.

Discover the captivating natural phenomenon of biofluorescence on a guided walk around Dunollie Wood with David from Reveal Nature.
Biofluorescence is a unique phenomenon where certain organisms emit light in different colours to those they absorb. Using UV torches, we'll venture into the darkness to witness a stunning and diverse display of biofluorescent organisms - from fungi to insects to plants - in their natural habitat, and observe nature's secret spectacles.

There are two times for this event: 8-9.30pm and 10-11.30pm.
Booking is essential as places are limited. Please book your space by choosing the time you'd like to attend.
Please dress appropriately for the weather and wrap up warm as the walk will go at a slow pace. Sturdy shoes are required as the terrain is uneven.
This event is suitable for children aged eight and over.
Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or a guardian.
Safety glasses will be provided and must be worn throughout the walk.

Meeting point: Corran Halls, Corran Esplanade, Oban, PA34 5AB. - Access: Dunollie Wood has a well-maintained path network with multiple narrow sections and short, moderately steep slopes. There are also some wide, tarred sections of path, two kissing gates and two sections of steps near the car park.
Several of the steeper routes around the wood can be slippery, especially when wet. Other than the waymarked trails, the trail entrances and paths are generally narrow. There is one additional gate if following the edge of the wood from Dunollie Castle through the field.

How to get there
By car: after entering Oban from the north on the A85, continue over the first roundabout. At the second roundabout, take the third exit to double back. The Corran Halls car park is on your left hand side.
When entering Oban from the south on the A816, take the third exit at Argyll Square onto Aird's Place (A85). Continue on the A85 and at the roundabout take the second exit. The Corran Halls car park is on your left.
By train or bus: the nearest train station is half a mile away in Oban. Regular bus services stop at Corran Halls.
