The UK needs millions more trees to reach its 2050 carbon net-zero target. By digging in with us, you'll help bring us nearer this important goal.

We make two deliveries a year, one in March and one in November. Applications for November 2024 delivery are now closed but come back soon - applications for March 2025 delivery will open again on 2 September.

Before you apply you’ll need to:

  • Know the six digit grid reference for the land you wish to plant using OS Maps
  • Have permission from the legal landowner
  • Read through our short list of FAQs. They are packed full of important and useful information which will help your application.

It’s also a good idea to contact your local council’s tree enquiries team before you apply, as they may have important guidance for planting in your area.

Tree Tools for Schools

Our fantastic online resource has everything you need to plan, plant and care for your tree pack.

The activities include a planning toolplanting advice and interactive activities, and they're useful for community groups as well as schools.

And when you plant your tree pack your school will earn two points on our Green Tree Schools Award. (You can continue to apply for trees each season, but you will only receive points for this activity once).

Our free tree packs have been generously funded by lead partners Sainsbury's, Lloyds Bank, OVO, Bank of Scotland and Sofology.
